John T. Van Horn, of Hermann, passed on January 5, 2017, due to a smoking related respiratory disease.

Tom was a career Army officer for 23 years.  He served two tours of duty in Vietnam.  Tom and his wife Julie were stationed in Europe, Vietnam, Japan, and various United States installations.

Tom is survived by his wife Julie, his son Scott, and granddaughters Ava and Petra.  His surviving brothers Don Van Horn of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Bob Van Horn from Palo Alto, California.

Private funeral arrangements will take place in the future.
