JoAnn Monda, 70, of New Haven, MO, (Naples, FL resident for the past 12 years) passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at home.
JoAnn was born in Cuba, Missouri on February 17, 1946, a daughter of the late William Howard & Icealine (Edgar) Monda.
JoAnn worked many years at Metal Craft Manufacturing in New Haven as a supervisor. She recently also worked in the bakery department at Costco in Naples, Florida.
JoAnn's family was very important to her. She enjoyed the time she got to spend with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the beach, shopping and she was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and loved watching them play. Her baking skills were top-notch and enjoyed by many, especially at Christmas time. JoAnn was the epitome of a hard worker. She proved a woman can work and succeed in a man's world. Her stubbornness and can-do attitude was admired by many.
JoAnn is survived by her children, Herbert Richardson, of Gerald, Missouri; Sandy Richardson, of New Haven, Missouri; Renee Richardson, of New Haven, Missouri; Tim Richardson, of Moweaqua, llinois; and Dawn Bailey, of New Haven, Missouri; by two sisters, Nancy Williams, of Holts Summit, Missouri; and Dixie Beckett, of Bourbon, Missouri; by two brothers, Gary Monda, of Sullivan, Missouri; and Paul Monda, of Jefferson City, Missouri, by 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Howard Monda.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 11th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to JoAnn Monda benefit fund for deployed troops. Checks may be made out to: JoAnn Monda Benefit Fund.
