Victor Lucas Fricke, 78, of Hermann, MO, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.

Victor was born in Hermann, Missouri, at Workman Hospital, on June 15, 1938.  He was a son of the late Victor August & Emma Anita (Cramer) Fricke. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul U.C.C. and he attended the German School in Hermann.

Victor was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Hermann. He worked as a school janitor for the Hermann School District for 25 years until his retirement.  After retirement Victor still worked a little part-time for Hermannhof Winery and cutting grass and working in the vineyards for Dr. Fisher.

In his free time Victor enjoyed gardening,  making small furniture, toy trucks and cars and games all out of wood.  He also made a lot of things out of soda cans and gave them away.  He mostly enjoyed taking bus trips to various places.

Victor is survived by a brother, Harold Fricke, of Pearl River, Louisiana; a sister, Rosemary Howard & husband Daniel, of Cuba, Missouri; a brother, Robert H. Fricke & wife Marilyn, of Hermann, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Edwin Bohl, of Hermann, and by many nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents,his step-mother Amanda Fricke, two sisters, Helen Lorene Bohl & Evelyn Strothmann, two nephews, Ronald & Perry Fricke and a brother-in-law, Everett Strothmann.
 

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 18th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. David Rawlings officiating. 

Burial will be at Hermann Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to Hermann Hospital.
