Helen was such a nice, and good lady. I can almost smell the apple-cake she'd been making, as we'd sit in the living room, laughing and telling stories. (Some of the laughs were on me, especially the mornings after I slept on her couch, snoring to beat the band, after a night out on the town, with Gary.) Helen would "mother-hen" all of us, sending us on our way with baked-goods she'd made. Helen has a great sense of humor, and I'll miss her laugh. I'll miss watching the smile on her face as she'd gush loving praise over my pet beagle when we'd visit her. Helen gave me a lace doily, and a lace Christmas bell, which are the only Christmas decorations I set out each year. Helen will be missed for a long time.I pray that her spirit lives on, through Molly and Elsie. I pray that Helen and Leroy are dancing in heaven now, smiling at each other.
