For Your Birthday Today Dad
As I sat there with you those hours while you passed away
I wished there was some way to soak up your brain
All the stories you've told through the years
Most will probably be lost in the tears
I'm sure some will pop in my mind from time to time
But it won't be the same without your rhythm and rhyme
I'll always love and miss you dad and I know I should not be sad or mad
You've wanted to go home for so long now, I know it's not wrong
You've grieved mom day in - day out, your health's been failing terribly since and
knowing the things you loved to do were now just memories, completely behind you
It's been so hard to sit by and see my big strong dad slowly fading from me
But still, It's always so hard to just let go, even though we kinda know and see
your time here is about to be done and you'll soon be called home and be set free
I hope and pray that the choices I've made for today
Make you smile a little from above knowing it's been done with Love
I'll Love and Miss you till we're together again and please give Mom a big kiss and hug with your awesome grin and tell her how much she has been missed
Till we All meet again...Forever Young!

For Your Birthday Today Dad
