Dave was a wonderful pastor to us when we arrived in Missouri many years ago. Getting to know him and Gloria was inspiring to this young couple back then. Their friendship and hospitality was deeply appreciated. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He definitely lived a life for Christ!

I'm very sorry for your loss. I didn't know your Mr. Kiser personally, but I spoke with him every time my husband and I visited the winery and I will always think of him when we drink our Signature Port. He was the one who introduced the port to us, telling us the story of his daughter and how much she loved it. So the next time I went in I wanted my husband to try it and he gave my husband a taste for free. He chuckled when my husband drank it too fast, but when he really liked it, Mr. Kiser laughed even harder and said again, "It's my daughter's favorite."
We will drink a toast to Mr. Kiser and his daughter tonight and it will be really sad not to see this lovely, personable gentleman the next time we go to Adam Puchta's.

Message from Pastor JIm Cariker, First Church of the Nazarene, Branson, MO

Rev. David Kiser and his wife Gloria were active in our local church for 30 years. David taught Sunday School most of that time. He was my "Unofficial" Associate--pulpit supplying for me and covering other pastoral duties when I had to be gone. He and Gloria were very special to us. We miss them both.

Dear Bethany and family,

We lit a candle for your dad, all the while thinking there could be no candle in Hermann that would burn brighter than your dad himself. We didn't get to spend as much time with David as we would have liked but the time we did spend with him was a blessing. The warmth of God's love just radiated from him and he was always kind and funny and a joy to be with. Lots of tears on this earth but even multitudes more joy in Heaven to have him home at last.

Dearest Bethany,
My heart is heavy at your family lost. I haven't been the greatest at staying in contact but you are so often thought of in both memory and prayers. Your Dad was, as is your while family, thought very highly by my family. Now your father is with his Father. What a wonderful thing to know!
We will continue to keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Much love,
merly and sharron

Mr. Kiser was one of those people who you envied in a way for having that inner peace and strength that those who spend a life following the Lord have. But it is his genuinely good nature and fun that many of us will always remember. He will never be forgotten that is for sure a truly good man.
