I am honored to be special soul in most of Linda's life. Although we had many differences as we grew older, we loved each other very much. Our connection was full of energy. Our connection was spirited, an adventure, and meaningful. Linda was an amazing woman and left two beautiful boys and a loving husband and many many friends with fond memories. She will always be with me and I am blessed having known her. Rest in peace Linda Lu

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. She was a lifetime friend of my daughter Leslie Bennett. Her life ended way too soon!

Linda,I always admired you.You were a few years older than me when I first heard your name and saw your beautiful face.It was grade school at Meramec School and you were in the same class as my oldest brother. (He had a big crush on you).I loved everything about you, your smile, your beautiful eyes and your contagious laugh. As
the years passed we connected for a time here and there.Always had fun together.Maybe, too much fun but hey we didn't know then what we come to know by the grace of God.
I remember the night you and I went to hang out in Lemay at a friend of yours house. You decided to stay but I had to go.Had responsibilities to complete.I can't begin to count how many times I have thanked God for holding you back that night. I awoke with a wall in front of me. As I looked over to the passenger seat I thought I would see you, but it was the engine instead.God was with us then and always.
Years later, we were destined to cross paths again and you put your baby boy Zachary in my care. What a wonderful boy he was. Never ever a problem and so very smart. I am so thankful to have been such a part of your life at that time.It was always a beautiful reunion that the two of you shared when you would come to pick him up. He Loved and Adored his Mama and you likewise for him.
After 3 years of having Zachary and you as a part of my life it was time for change and Zachary started school. I'm not sure as to the timing of everything back then but I am sure that I didn't see you near enough. Then I heard you moved to Herman.I never heard of Herman. But dog gone it one day I found Herman on one of my "drive til the road ends" adventures. I couldn't remember the street you lived on so I prayed to be able to find you.I drove up one street down another and there My prayer was answered.Zachary had walked out to start your car for you. I flagged him down and he ran in to tell you some crazy lady was outside. You came out and I'll never forget what you said. You hugged me and smiled and said "you always did have a free spirit." I felt so close to you at that moment..you knew me.And you always showed kindness.
Now my sweet friend, you have the free spirit.I am grieved by your absence here, but I am elated that your suffering is over and that you were able to assure your Salvation by repenting before God and having your name written into the Lambs Book of Life.
Fly High and Free,Until I cross into Eternity I will think of you with Pure Fondness. Love,
Kathie Purdy

My sister was the eldest of five. Blessed and cursed to have four younger brothers who she genuinely loved, but could have used a bit more privacy when she at home. Linda dove into life in the late 60s and 70. She was an awesome hippy, wore some of the best patched jeans and was too cool not to be a hippy. She saw the Beatles at Busch stadium.
A fond memory was when Linda and Scott McElroy took me to my first rock concert. It was Lou Reed,"Take a walk on the Wild Side." My sister and I have had a special relationship all of our lives. We could argue, ignore each other like a overdue bill, but was always there. I am sorry to say, I didn't know this time and wasnt.
LInda's has two fine men as her children. Sam McElroy and Zach Gregory are brilliant professionals who have carved their own careers.
I would like to mention one last person who proceeded Linda in Death, Mark Beaverson. Mark was my previous para-more. He and Linda we very close soul friends. There were a few special holidays when Linda, Sam, Zach, Mark and I spent time together.
Well Sis, You are seeing it first. I pray we see it together as children of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. I will be loving you until..
