Kenneth R. Morton, 88, of Hermann, MO, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at his home.

Kenneth was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 27, 1928, a son of the late Charles W. & Mary C. (Schmidt) Morton.

He was the husband of Irene (Ruschmeyer) Morton. They were married on April 23, 1948 at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Ferguson, Missouri. 

Kenneth proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He worked as a union painter and was a member of the Local Painters 46.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Irene of Hermann, a daughter, Cathy Schuetz & husband Jim, of Hermann, Missouri; a son, Michael Morton & wife Sue, of Florissant, Missouri; by a brother, Larry Morton, of St. Charles, Missouri, by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents, by a son Matthew Morton, a daughter-in-law Linda Morton, by brothers, David, Charlie, and Jimmy Morton, a sister Mildred Glanz, and two grandsons Brian & Jeffrey Schuetz.

Funeral service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27th.

Memorials may be given to Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer or Heartland Hospice.   Funeral arrangements are under the direction of  Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.
