Betty Jo Pehle, 83, of Berger, MO, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016, at her home.
Betty was born in Chamois, Missouri on December 29, 1932, a daughter of the late Greeley & Pauline (Rainey) Quick.
She was the wife of Marvin Pehle. They were married on June 18, 1950, at St. Peter's U.C.C., New Haven. Marvin survives at the home.
Betty is also survived by a son, Stephen Pehle & wife Linda, of Berger, Missouri, a daughter, Phyllis Menke & husband Randall, of Berger, Missouri, a son, Randy Pehle, of St. Louis, Missouri, a sister, Carroll Backes, of New Haven, Missouri, a brother Bill Quick & wife Evelyn, of New Haven, Missouri, a sister, Judy Wisdom & husband Ron, of Washington, Missouri, a sister Connie Kluesner & husband Charlie, of Washington, Missouri, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Quick, of New Haven, Missouri, by four grandsons, Nick Pehle & wife Stephanie, of Berger, Missouri, Ryan Menke & wife Crystal, of Washington, Missouri, Josh Pehle, of Paso Robles, California, and Brandon Menke, of New Haven, Connecticut, and a granddaughter, Brittany Menke, of Berger, Missouri, and by five great grandchildren, Addison, Ayden, Mason, Maddox, and Weston, and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother LeRoy Quick.
Betty was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven. She loved watching and spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, traveling and bird watching. She was a great cook and loved to bake. She was very proud to be a farmers wife. She was known as the lifeguard at the family pool.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 22nd from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
Funeral services will be held Monday, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, with Rev. David Poe officiating.
Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Haven, Missouri.
Memorials may be given to National Kidney Foundation or St. Peter's U.C.C. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
