Wretha R. Birkmann, 84, of New Haven, MO, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at her home.
Wretha was born on September 5, 1936, the daughter of the late Walter & Rose A. (Schroeder) Pruessner.
She was united in marriage to Oscar E. Birkmann, Jr. on March 24, 1954, in Labadie, Missouri. Oscar preceded her in death on April 9, 2018.
Wretha worked at Deb Shoe Factory in Washington and Langenberg Hat Factory in New Haven. She also did baby sitting out of her home which she really enjoyed.
Wretha is survived by three daughters, Diane Kleinheider & husband Kevin, of New Haven, Missouri; Rhonda Chwascinski & husband Duane, of New Haven, Missouri; and Linda Crowe & husband James, of Hermann, Missouri; by nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a brother, Delmar Pruessner & wife Margie, of Union, Missouri and two sisters, Jenell Parmentier, of Union, Missouri; and Betty Frick, of New Haven, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers-in-law, Jerry Parmentier and Ray Frick.
In her free time Wretha enjoyed doing embroidery work, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 8th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Tom Lloyd officiating.
Burial will be at St. James Cemetery, Stony Hill, Missouri. Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
