Wilma Faye (Yoakum) Buckner

Wilma Faye Buckner, 102, of Rhineland, MO passed away October 24, 2025 at StoneBridge Frene Valley Nursing Home in Hermann, MO. 

Faye was born October 20, 1923 in Bucyrus, MO.  The daughter of James Thomas and Lola Bell (Yoakum.) She is preceded in death by her parents and 8 brothers and sisters. 

She was united in marriage by two loving husbands.  John E. Buckner, Sr. (deceased September 05, 2012) married for 71 years and Otto J. Mayer, Jr. (deceased March 31, 2023) married for 7 ½ years. 

Faye was blessed with 3 children, John E. Buckner Jr. and wife Sharon, Judy Meilink and husband Donald, Jerri Svoboda and husband Keith; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. 

She worked and retired from McDonnell Douglas for 30+ years. After retiring she moved with husband John Buckner, Sr. to Rhineland, MO. 

Faye loved gatherings with family where she would tell stories of past childhood. She also loved to quilt and made many beautiful works of art that she had won blue ribbons on. 
 
There will be a private service at St. Marcus Cemetery in Rhineland, MO.
