Warren C. Grass, 87, of Hermann, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri.
Warren was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on October 13, 1935, the son of the late Charles & Elsie (Doll) Grass.
He was the husband of Clarene "Mutzie" (LaBoube) Grass. They were united in marriage on April 27, 1957, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Little Berger.
Warren proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of St. George Church, Hermann and of the Knights of Columbus. He worked for Florsheim and International Shoe Companies in Hermann, for Brown Shoe Company in Union and he also worked for Marlen Textiles in New Haven.
Warren enjoyed going to the farm, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Warren is survived by his wife Clarene "Mutzi" Grass, of Hermann; a daughter, Janet Witthaus & husband Kevin, of Hermann, Missouri; a son, Jeff Grass & wife Lynn, of Hermann, Missouri; a grandson; Jesse Witthaus & wife Krystal, of Hermann, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Alivia and Cooper Witthaus; a brother-in-law, Frank "Jim" LaBoube, of Hermann, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Amanda Witthaus and two sisters, Evelyn Mueller and Marilyn Weigand.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 17th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. George Church, Hermann, where a funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Father Philip Niekamp officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. George Church or Amanda Witthaus Memorial Scholarship.
