Wanda L. (Thomas) Gentry

Wanda L. Gentry, 88, of Hermann, MO, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at StoneBridge Senior Living,  Hermann, Missouri.

Wanda was born in Swain, Arkansas on January 14, 1935, the daughter of the late Sid & Gussie (Lee) Thomas.

Wanda was united in marriage to Stuart J. Gentry on June 19, 1954 in Americus, Missouri. Together they shared almost 50 years of marriage, until Stuart preceded her in death on February 19, 2004.

Wanda is survived by a daughter, Cindy Burns & husband John, of Fulton, Missouri; a son,Wayne Gentry & wife Julie, of Palmdale, California; by two sisters-in-law, Rose Mary Thomas, of Hermann, Missouri; and Joyce Thomas, of Mexico, Missouri; by eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, Barton, Ray, Gilbert, Joe & Dale Thomas a sister, Nadine Amos and two siblings in infancy, Betty & Billy.

Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
