Once her children left home, she completed high school courses and obtained her GED, something she wanted to do ever since she left high school early during the Great Depression. Virginia and Myron retired to Berger, MO and enjoyed dancing, traveling and gardening. She became a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Berger, where she was actively involved in the quilting group. Over the years, she also enjoyed sewing, embroidery, golf, quilting, music, reading, relearning German and bingo.
Virginia is survived by her children: James (Sharon) Stock of East Lansing, Michigan; Myra Foote of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Carolyn (David George) Stock of Madison, WI. In addition to her children, she is survived by four grandchildren, Mary, Bryan, Carrie, and James, four great-grandchildren, Kaleen, Bryce, Owen, and Caroline, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her stepfather Louis Rauch, her son-in-law Stuart Foote, her sister Julaine Koberman, her brother-in-law Lloyd Stock and sisters-in-law Carol Schowe and Anne Vanderwerken.
