Sylvia "Sis" (Warner) Loehnig

Sylvia "Sis" Loehnig, 90, of Hermann, MO, passed away Friday, October 30, 2020 at Hermann Area District Hospital.

Sis was born on June 23, 1930 in Rhineland, Missouri, the daughter of the late Andrew & Ida (Winkelmann) Warner.

She was united in marriage to Herman "Bucky" A. Loehnig on April 14, 1951 at St. George Church, Hermann.  Bucky preceded her in death on February 19, 2005.

Sis was a member of St. George Church, Hermann, and the Ladies Sodality.  She loved playing bingo, cards and cooking for family and friends.   She also volunteered much of her time working many church activities and also at Birthright in Hermann.

Sis is survived by a daughter, Joyce Hagedorn & husband Tom, of California, Missouri; a son, Dennis Loehnig & wife Jonelle, of Columbia, Missouri; a daughter, Diana Pottebaum & husband Cyril, of Hermann, Missouri; a son, Dwayne Loehnig & wife Karen, of Hermann, Missouri, by a sister-in-law, Alberta Warner, of Rocky Mount, Missouri; by eight grandchildren, Trese Page, Grant Loehnig, Jennifer Bolinger, Andrea Scrivner, Melissa Simons, Kayleen Schweighauser, A.J. Hagedorn and Drew Loehnig and 13 great grandchildren.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her two sisters, Zita Heberle Rode and Lorene Bruens and her twin brother, Sylvan "Sonny" Warner, by two brothers-in-law, Orville Heberle and Marvin Bruens and one sister-in-law, Janice Loehnig.

A private graveside service will be held at St. George Cemetery, Hermann, Missouri, with Rev. Msgr. Gregory Higley officiating.  A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
