Sharon K. Laune, 80, of New Haven, MO, passed away April 10, 2026 at New Haven Care Center.
Sharon was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on December 24, 1945, the daughter of the late James Joseph & Aletha (Hackmann) Lampkin.
She was united in marriage to Vernon G. Laune on November 27, 1965, at St. George Catholic Church, Hermann, Missouri. Together they shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. Vernon preceded her in death on December 2, 2024.
Sharon was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven. She worked as a secretary for the Assumption School in New Haven from 1977 to 1981. She then was the secretary for the New Haven Middle School for 24 years, until her retirement in 2005.
She is survived by a son, Mark Laune & wife Renee, of New Haven, Missouri; two grandchildren, Claire Lensing & husband Hunter and Matthew Laune, all of New Haven; a brother, Jim Lampkin & wife Carol, of Rhineland, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Horstmann, of New Haven; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Laune, of New Haven, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers-in-law, John Laune and Stanley Horstmann, and a nephew, Matthew Lampkin.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16th from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, April 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Church, New Haven. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to New Haven Care Center, where contributions will be used for staff appreciation or to the Assumption Cemetery.
