Selma Louise (Ball) Humburg, 92, of Hermann, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at her home with her family at her side.
Selma was born in Bland, Missouri on October 26, 1929, the daughter of the late George Sr. & Selma (Huebner) Ball.
She was the widow of Harvey T. Humburg. They were married on May 3, 1947, in Jefferson City, Missouri. They made their home on the Suedmeyer-Humburg farm near Hermann, Mo.
Selma worked at International Shoe, Florsheim and other factories until she retired. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Hermann. She was an avid quilter and made quilts for most of her family.
Selma is survived by three daughters, Ileen Theissen, Beverly (Mike) Theissen and Sheila (Alvin) Theissen, by 10 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and by her sister-in-law, JoAnn Ball.
She is preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Harvey, by her daughter, Barbara Humburg, a granddaughter, Tina Staley, by a son-in-law, Lloyd Theissen, by her sisters, Mildred Antweiler, Dorothy Callendar, and Nellie Romaker, and her brothers, George Ball Jr., Raymond, Richard, Henry, Luther and Harrison Barbarick.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann. Memorials may be given to Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
