Ronald A. Raterman

Ronald A. Raterman, 79, of Hermann, MO, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at his home.

Ronald was born in St. Paul, Missouri on June 28, 1944, the son of the late Herman J. & Mary M. (Boehmer) Raterman.

He was the husband of Brenda (Stiers) Raterman.  They were united in marriage on June 11, 1966, at St. Joseph's Church, Rhineland, Missouri. 

Ronald served his country in the United States Air Force.  He was a member of St. George Church, Hermann and the Knights of Columbus.

He worked at Zero Manufacturing for many years.  He also worked at Harold DX, Eldringhoff Construction, Home Inc., L & S Equipment and Grotewiel Construction. 

Ronald is survived by his wife Brenda, of Hermann; two daughters, Tammy Lane & husband Shawn, of Hermann, Missouri; Becky Raterman & husband Harvey Kremer, of Hermann, Missouri; a son, Bryon Raterman & wife Mimi, of Hermann, Missouri; three sisters, Eileen Parr, of Rhineland, Missouri; Lois Hagedorn-Seigel & husband Jerry, of Kingdom City, Missouri; and Nancy Gleeson, of Rhineland, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, Grant Raterman & fiance' Marissa Ginger, Lance and Luke Raterman, Krista Lane Labby & husband Zac, Karinne, Conner, Karigan and Kealie Lane, Devin Oberg & wife Kaitlyn, and Hannah and Trent Oberg, by three step grandchildren, Emma, Hanna and Ava Kremer, one great grandchild, Lennox Labby and three step great grandchildren, Olivia, Addie and Ayla. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David & Jim Raterman and three brothers-in-law, J.P. Gleeson, Vernon Hagedorn and Roy Parr.

Visitation will be held Thursday 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials may be given to Jody Stiers Herbst Memorial Fund.
