Roger Allen Uffelman, 88, of Chamois, MO, formerly of Gasconade, MO, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at his home.
Roger was born in Gasconade, Missouri on September 20, 1932, the son of the late John & Della (Lalk) Uffelman.
Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked as an engineer for the US Army Corps of Engineers for 35 years before retiring.
Roger was a member of the Gasconade Union Church and was an active member of the American Legion Post #0366 of New Haven, Missouri for more than 50 years. He was an avid trapper, fisherman and aluminum can collector. Roger loved his family dearly.
Roger is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Wood & husband Bill, of Chamois, Missouri; four sisters, Lois Hassinger, of Zionsville, Indiana; Donna Riley & husband Gerald, of Hermann, Missouri; Judy Derks, of Jefferson City, Missouri; and Janet Buscher, of Jefferson City, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Terry Uffelman, of Camdenton, Missouri; Megan Wood, of Chamois, Missouri and Joel Wood, of Chamois, Missouri and by five great grandchildren, Karina, Madison and Miley Uffelman, Ian Heinz and Jaelyn Thoenen. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pat Jones.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 7th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Gasconade Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Gasconade Union Church or Gasconade Cemetery. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
