Roger Dale Johnson

Roger Dale Johnson, 72, of New Florence, MO, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at St. Andrews at New Florence.

Roger was born in Mexico, Missouri on September 16, 1952, the son of the late Clark "Banty" & Carolina "Lena" (Bernat) Johnson.

Roger was a farmer his whole life.  He also logged and worked for his father Clark Johnson mining and trucking.  He was a member of New Florence United Methodist Church and New Florence Saddle Club.

Roger enjoyed horseback riding and spending time with friends and family especially at Linda's Coffee Shop.  You could often see Roger driving around on his tractor.  He also enjoyed going to the Old Settlers Picnic, where he also helped line up the parade.

Roger is survived by a sister, Brenda Devlin & husband Sidney, of New Florence, Missouri; a brother, Gale Johnson & wife Michele, of New Florence, Missouri; a nephew, Jon Devlin & wife Christina, of O'Fallon, Missouri; a niece, Shannon Devlin, of Columbia, Missouri; a nephew, Josh Devlin & wife Mersedes, of Wentzville, Missouri; a niece, Elizabeth Markus & husband Joe, of O'Fallon, Missouri; a nephew, Christopher Johnson & wife Katie, of Cottleville, Missouri; 13 great nieces & nephews and one great-great niece.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Jason Devlin.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be given to New Florence Cemetery.
