Rodney Hauser Obituary

Rodney Wayne Hauser, 69, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family.

Rodney was born in Mexico, Missouri on February 23, 1952, to Frank C. Jr. & Melba (Schnarre) Hauser, and raised in Big Spring, Missouri.

He was a loving husband to Wilma (Honse) Hauser.  They were united in marriage on June 29, 1985, in Jefferson City, Missouri and together they raised their daughter, Meghan.

Rodney was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann, Missouri.  He worked and retired from ABB after 30 years; thereafter, he continued his career with MODot, but his true calling should have been as a salesman, as he could find you anything you were looking for and always got you the best deal. He would have also made a great water ski instructor for the countless children he taught with his immeasurable patience at his Lake homes.

Rodney loved his lawn freshly cut, a cold beer, fishing, the freedom felt riding back country roads on his Harley motorcycle, and socializing with his friends and family. He was a man who knew no stranger. He could make a friend from the moment of hello, and when you ran into him,  you best not be in a hurry because he loved to talk.

His memory will live on in those who knew him; his mother, Melba Hauser, of Eldon, Missouri; his loving wife, Wilma Hauser, of the home; a daughter, Meghan Danielle Oetker & husband Nick, of St. Charles, Missouri; and a sister, Beverly Gentry & husband Gene, of Farmington, Iowa; his extended family, friends, and anyone who had the blessing of meeting him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank C. Hauser, Jr.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 13th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Darrel Deeker officiating.

Burial will be at St. James Cemetery, Big Spring, Missouri.

Afterward, the family welcomes you to join them for lunch to share stories and celebrate his life at The Corner restaurant in Rhineland, Missouri.

If you wish to make condolences, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society in the effort to help find a cure from the battle he was lost to.
