Robert “Bobby” Frank Helling, Jr., 81, passed away on September 28, 2022, the day after his 81st birthday, in Evanston, IL.
Bobby was born on September 27, 1941 in Washington, MO, the first of three sons born to Ruth Amy (Schermann) and Robert F. Helling, Sr.
While living in Hermann, he attended the United Church of Christ. Bobby always had a pocket full of change, and loved eating candy bars, and drinking Pepsi. He always remembered family and friend’s birthdays. Bobby lived with his Grandfather John Schermann, a former State Representative for Gasconade Country during his teenage years, and had been living in the Chicago area for the past 20 years.
He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Ruth, and his great-nephew, Christopher Shane Bowman. He is survived by his younger brothers, Donald (Addie), of St. Charles, MO; and Larry (Vicki), of Ellisville, MO, 4 niece’s, 1 nephew, 4 great-nieces, 3 great-nephews, and several cousins.
A grave side service will be held for Robert on Monday, October 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Hermann Cemetery. Memorials may be given to donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.
