Robert “Bob” Fricke, 85 of Hermann, Missouri passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at StoneBridge Senior Living, Hermann. He was born on March 23, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri to Norman Theodore and Leona Mary (Durrett) Fricke. On November 19, 1983 he married Joan Brown who survives.
Bob was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Hermann. He lived a life that reflected his love of his Lord, and that faith was evident until he departed this life and into eternity. He was a tool and Die machinist and while living in Glendale California he was a partner with his brother Curtis in their company called J&J Engineering. Bob was also in the U.S. Army 82nd Airbourne stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina during the early 1960’s. His troop was called up and were on standby in their plane during the Cuban missile crisis, but finally ordered to stand down.
Bob loved the out-doors and always enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends. Many of his excursions were with his buddy of over 60 years, Bill Love.
Bob is survived by his wife Joan, Daughters, Julie (Cyril) Oblouk, grandchildren, Austin and Trevor of Lake Forest, California and Amy (Alfonso) Sandoval, grandchildren, Johnathon, Krystal, Victoria, and Stephanie of Palmdale, California, an adopted daughter Ashley Lamke (Mike) of Hermann, Missouri, 2 step daughters: Laura Splann, and her daughter Taylor Renee of Columbia, Missouri, and Dora Van Hounton and her daughter Jessica of North Carolina, and 2 siblings: Curtis (Jo) Fricke of Granite Falls, Washington and Norma (John) Stiltz of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife Judy, first cousins Judy and Nancy Fricke, and step daughter Cheryl Christensen and her son Daniel.
Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no memorial services per Bob’s request.
