Rita Ann Borcherding, 86, of New Haven, MO, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at New Haven Care Center.

Rita was born in Washington, Missouri on March 20, 1938, the daughter of the late Walter G. & Evelyn (Maune) Branson.
 
She was the widow of Clyde H. Borcherding.  They were united in marriage on April 30, 1960 at Assumption Church, New Haven.  Together they shared almost 60 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on May 21, 2019.
 
Rita was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven.  She worked as a seamstress for Kellwood Manufacturing in New Haven and Children's Factory in Union. In her free time she enjoyed doing puzzles, crafts, gardening in her flower beds, and loved  spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
 
Rita is survived by two daughters, Wuanita Gillig (Bob) of Hermann, Missouri; and Pam Schroeder (Kurt) of New Haven, Missouri; a son, Jeff Borcherding, of New Haven, Missouri; grandchildren, Dillon Borcherding (Emily) of New Haven, Missouri; Taurie Schroeder(Jacob) of Defiance, Missouri; Dalton Gillig (Emily) of Hermann, Missouri; Kayla Clines (Mathew) of New Haven, Missouri; Dakota Schroeder (Devin) of New Haven, Missouri and Levi Schroeder (Mackenze) of Canyon, Texas, by six great grandchildren, Jameson, Roslynn, Lennon, Elena, Mason and Fern; a sister, Wanda Pottebaum, of Washington, Missouri; a brother, Gerald "Fuzzy" Branson (Kathryn) of Marthasville, Missouri; a sister, Donna Thompson, of New Haven, Missouri; a brother, Dennis Branson (Virginia) of Washington, Missouri; a sister, Velma Faye Thomure (Roger) of Rosebud, Missouri; a brother, Ron Branson (Karen) of New Haven, Missouri; a brother, Don Branson (Rosie) of Berger, Missouri and other family members & friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Gary & David Borcherding, and a brother and sisters, Fern Juedemann, Walter Branson Jr., Jane Theissen, Rosie Dunakey, Betty Lee Branson & Linda Luecke.
 
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 19th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
 
A funeral mass will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Church, New Haven.  Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery.
 
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Alzheimer's Association.
