Richard W. Conner Sr., 82, of New Haven, MO, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at New Haven Care Center, New Haven, Missouri.
Richard was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 2, 1943, the son of the late Eugene W. & Edna (O'Dell) Conner.
He was the widower of Joan M. (Herbert) Conner. They were united in marriage on February 13, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri. Together they shared 63 years of marriage. Joan preceded him in death on June 20, 2025.
Richard owned & operated R.W. Conner Hauling in New Haven. He was a member of the Missouri Dump Truckers Association.
He took a lot of pride in his 1952 Chevy Bel-Air that he restored and enjoyed taking to many car shows. He also enjoyed camping.
Richard is survived by three sons, Richard Conner Jr. & wife Dawn, of New Haven, Missouri; Michael Conner & wife Glynis, of New Haven, Missouri; and Keith Conner & wife Melinda, of Washington, Missouri; five grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Emilie Haid, Brian Conner, Amanda Klenke and Brandon Conner; 10 great grandchildren, Olivia, Emry, Tucker, Millie, Karlie, Caroline, Jackson, McKenzie, Emma and Evelyn; two sisters, Merlyn Menne, of O' Fallon, Missouri; and Patsy Basich, of Kirkwood, Missouri; and a sister-in-law, Janice Walter, Bridgeton, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Charles "Bob" & Ernest Walter and a sister, Bonnie Mosier.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where a memorial service will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Gary Schulte officiating.
Burial will be at New Haven Cemetery, New Haven, Missouri. Memorial donations may be given to New Haven Community Outreach or New Haven Cemetery.
