Rholand Francis Thompson, 77, of New Haven, MO, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri.
Rholand was born in New Haven, Missouri on July 24, 1945, the son of the late Francis Thompson & Verllie (Thompson) Feltes.
He was the husband of Donna (Branson) Thompson. They were united in marriage on November 12, 1966, at Assumption Church, New Haven.
Rholand proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven and American Legion in New Haven.
Rholand was a machinist and worked at Metal Craft in New Haven. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and taking care of his lawn, hunting moles and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. But most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family
Rholand is survived by his wife, Donna Thompson, of New Haven, Missouri; a daughter, Diane Munsinger & husband Joe, of New Haven, Missouri; two granddaughters, Molly Witthaus & husband Jake, of Hermann, Missouri; and Makenzie Munsinger & significant other, Tommy Benner, of New Haven, Missouri, a great grandson, Grayson Benner, two brothers, Larry Thompson, Sr. & special friend Regina Biermann, of Hermann, Missouri; and Linn Thompson & wife Debbie, of Leslie, Missouri; two sisters, Donna Klingsick & husband Gene, of Hermann, Missouri; and Ruth Hines & husband Ron, of Brighton, Illinois; four brothers-in-law, Gerald "Fuzzy" Branson & wife Kathy, of Marthasville, Missouri; Dennis Branson & wife Virginia, of Washington, Missouri; Ronnie Branson & wife Karen, of New Haven, Missouri; and Donnie Branson & wife Rosie, of Berger, Missouri, three sisters-in-law, Rita Borcherding, of New Haven, Missouri; Wanda Pottebaum, of Washington, Missouri; and Faye Thomure & husband Roger, of Rosebud, Missouri; and by many nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Leeanna Hasty, sisters-in-law, Fern Juedemann, Jane Theissen, Rosie Dunakey, Betty Branson, Linda Luecke, and Elaine Thompson and by two brothers-in-law, Walter "Sonny" Branson and Ray Hasty.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 13th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, New Haven, Missouri. Memorials may be given to Nortman Cemetery or Assumption Church.
