Ralph C. Kopmann, 84, of New Haven, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.
Ralph was born in New Haven, Missouri on March 28, 1938, the son of the late Aloys & Veronica (Hellebusch) Kopmann.
He was the husband of Elsie M. (Meyer) Kopmann. They were united in marriage on September 17, 1960, at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington, Missouri.
Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Marines from 1956 to 1958. He was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven and the 4th Degree Catholic Knights, of Washington. He served on the Citizens Bank of New Haven Board for 31 years, and was Chairman of the Board of Directors for five years. He was also a member of the New Haven Rural Fire Department, where he served as President for several years.
Ralph was a farmer his whole life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and playing and watching all sports.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Elsie Kopmann, of New Haven, Missouri; a daughter, Judith Schowe & husband Kenneth, of New Haven, Missouri; a daughter, Joan Huxel & husband Mark, of Washington, Missouri; a son, Joe Kopmann & wife Kelly, of Washington, Missouri; a daughter, Janet Glosemeyer & husband Steve, of Marthasville, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a sister, Arlene Drees, of Washington, Missouri; by three brothers-in-law, Gilbert Holtmeyer, Dale Meyer & wife Linda and Richard Meyer, all of Washington, Missouri; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Kopmann, of New Haven, Missouri
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, George Kopmann, and two sisters, Leola Pierick and Evelyn Drees.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 7th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Assumption Church, New Haven, with Father John Deken officiating.
Memorials may be given to Assumption Church or New Haven Volunteer Fire Department.
