Rachel B. (Roberts) Elbert

Rachel B. Elbert (Roberts), age 42, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on April 13, 2026. 

She was born on December 16, 1983, and lived a life marked by creativity, independence, and a deep connection to the world around her.

Rachel was free-spirited, whimsical, and full of wanderlust, with a creative soul that expressed itself in everything she did. She was known for her sense of humor, her strong will, and her wandering spirit. She lived life on her own terms, embracing both its beauty and its challenges with resilience and authenticity.

She felt most at home in nature, finding peace in the woods and joy in the simple treasures of the earth. Like her daughter, she had a love for rockhounding and discovering beauty in the natural world. Rachel was a talented artist who created handmade jewelry and furniture from raw and reclaimed materials, transforming them into unique and meaningful pieces filled with character and life.

Rachel is survived by her children, Jacob Elbert, Noah Elbert, Gabriel Elbert, Mathew Connelly, and Patrick Connelly; her sisters, Amy and Jessica; her brothers, Daniel, Nicholas, and Jimmy; an aunt, Shirley Berving, along with many extended family members and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Roberts & Theresa L. Hill, her daughter, Charlie Dean Bell, and her husband, Mike Elbert, who both passed together in the same tragic accident and a brother, Donald (Donny) Roberts.

Rachel will be remembered for her creativity, her love of nature, her independent spirit, and the lasting impression she left on those who knew her.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, 1221 Washington St., Hermann, MO 65041, where memorial services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to help cover expenses.
