Peter “Paul” Viola, 77 of Hermann, MO passed away on Tuesday, October 10 at StoneBridge, Hermann surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born in Capistrano, Italy on June 27, 1946, the son of Silvio and Rosalba (Quaranta) Viola. He came to the United States at 5 years old with his mother, siblings Victor, Gabriella and Tony. Paul was married to Shirley (Spearman) on July 4, 1969.
Paul worked as a painter and wallpaper hanger for over 60 years having retired from PaintSmiths of St. Louis in 2012.
Paul is survived by his wife Shirley, daughter Amy (Kenneth) Kuebler, son Chad (Amanda) Viola, Grandchilden Seth (Aimee) Kuebler, Reagan (Austin) Gaebe, Isabella and Charlee Viola, Brody Kuebler, Step Granddaugher Alexis (Ethan) Kuebler, Great Grandchildren Henlee, Creed, Oaklee and Nayvee and step grandchildren Karleigh and Georgia, siblings Victor Viola, Gabriella (Bill) Chambers, Tony (Pam) Viola, Silvio (Shari) Viola, Gilda (Buddy) Tumy, Henry (Becky) Viola, Myra (Mechelle) Viola-Lewis, Rosella (Paul) Noelke, Angela (Brian) Terstegge, brother-in-law Edward (Kathryn) Spearman, many nieces and nephews and his precious furbabies.
Paul was a man of many talents. He enjoyed tinkering with whatever needed to be repaired. He was a very hard worker and never hesitated to try something new. He enjoyed working on cars and had several cars that he was proud of.
Visitation will be held at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home on Sunday, October 15 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 16 at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be given to Hermann Area District Hospital Auxiliary, Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer or Ferals in Peril.
