Millie M. Ruegge, 86, of Morrison, MO, passed away Friday, February 6 2026, at StoneBridge Senior Living, Owensville, Missouri.
Millie was born in Hope, Missouri on March 1, 1939, the daughter of the late Harry E. & Selma C. (Niewald) Hilkerbaumer.
She was united in marriage to Benjamin O. Ruegge on August 17, 1957, at Salem Hope Presbyterian Church, Morrison, Missouri. Together they shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. Benjamin preceded her in death on May 9, 2005.
Millie was a member of Zion-St. Peter United Church of Christ in Pershing, Salem Hope Presbyterian Church in Morrison and of the Fellowship Crusaders.
She worked at Frene Valley Nursing Home for over 25 years as a dietary manager. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, flower & vegetable gardening and helping her husband on the farm.
Millie is survived by a daughter, Linda Koelling & husband Dennis, of Morrison, Missouri; a son, Nelson Ruegge & wife Brandy, of Morrison, Missouri; a brother, Rev. Don Hilkerbaumer & wife Rev. Janice, of Hilliard, Ohio; two grandsons, Bradley & Benjamin Ruegge, both of Morrison, Missouri; a nephew, Rev. Jason Hilkerbaumer & wife Misty, of Morrison, Missouri; a niece, Rev. Beth Hilkerbaumer, of Portsmouth, Virginia; a great nephew, Tristen Hilkerbaumer & wife Katie, a great niece, Sydney Roberts & husband Charles, and great-great nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 9th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Salem Hope Presbyterian Church, Morrison, Missouri, with Rev. Jason & Rev. Beth Hilkerbaumer officiating.
Burial will be at Fredericksburg Cemetery, Morrison, Missouri. Memorials may be given to Salem Hope Presbyterian Church or Fredericksburg Cemetery.
