Michael Lynn Langille, 74, of Hermann, MO, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 suddenly at his shop in Hermann, MO.
Mike was born in Fredonia, Kansas on December 24, 1951, the son of the late George Wise & Dorothy (Ostrander) Ruane.
He was the husband of Carol Sue (Guibor) Langille. They were united in marriage on July 27, 2004, in Morris Mill, Missouri.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force where he was a fire fighter while in England. He worked as an electronic technician for a communications business.
Mike loved photography and enjoyed taking pictures of Hermann and the people in the community. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop with woodworking and his photography and he also enjoyed running. He loved the town of Hermann and the community.
He was on the Hermann Park Board, and he took care of raising and lowering the flags in Hermann.
Mike is survived by his wife, Carol Langille, of Hermann, Missouri; two daughters, Jennifer Hjarpe, of Anna, Texas; and Marsha Smith, of Boston, Massachusetts; a step son, Michael Melton & wife Brandy, of Holt, Florida; six grandchildren, Averie, Tristan, Kimberly, Jason, Courtney and Michael Jr., three great grandchildren, Everett, Haizley, and Adelynn, three sisters-in-law, Mary Wallach & husband Joe, of Hillsboro, Missouri; Bobbie Mathis, of Hermann, Missouri; and Nancy Langille, of Lake Mary, Florida, and many nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steven Langille.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Hermann River Front. Memorial donations may be given to the family.
