Melba L. Engemann, 72, of Hermann, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.
Melba was born in Washington, Missouri on December 4, 1947, the daughter of the late Leslie & Genevieve L. (Nolte) Haselroth.
She was the widow of Gerald Francis Engemann. They were united in marriage on May 24, 1969, at St. Joseph Church, Rhineland, Missouri. Gerald preceded her in death on October 16, 2009.
Melba was a member of St. George Church, Hermann and the Gore Case Community Club.
Melba worked at First Bank in Hermann prior to becoming the bookkeeper for Tri-County Trucking & Excavating and their family farm operations. She later became owner of Hermann Sand & Gravel and Wild Boar Creek Farm.
Melba is survived by two sons, Tim Engemann & wife Melissa and Steve Engemann & wife Kate, both of Hermann, Missouri; two sisters, Debbie Stewart & husband Jeff, of House Springs, Missouri; and Brenda Kempker & husband Roger, of Fulton, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Emily, Gabriella, Ben, Ava & Faith Engemann, all of Hermann; by four brothers-in-law, Paul Engemann & wife Belinda, of Hermann, Missouri; Denis Engemann & wife Carla, of Hermann, Missouri; Mike Heuer, of Leavenworth, Kansas; and Tom Engemann & wife Cathy, of Rhineland, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Susan Kitchen & husband Rick, of Columbia, Missouri; Rosie Branson & husband Donnie, of Berger, Missouri; and Teresa Wheeler & husband Scott, of Carmel, Indiana, and by many nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister-in-law, Joyce Heuer and a Godchild & niece, Michelle Engemann.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 14th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. George Church, Hermann, Missouri, where a funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Msgr. Gregory Higley officiating.
Burial will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Case, Missouri. Memorials may be given to St. Anthony's Cemetery or St. George School. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
