Marythea Joy Humphrey, 89, of Leslie, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital, Sullivan, Missouri.
Marythea was born in Fort Lewis, Washington on October 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Norman & Dorothea (Voorhies) Arrington.
She was the widow of Robert E. Humphrey. They were united in marriage on June 25, 1950, at Port Orchard, Washington. Robert preceded her in death on January 17, 2021.
Marythea was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ-Casco, Leslie, Missouri. She enjoyed being with her family and traveling to Blue Grass concerts.
Marythea is survived by two daughters, LaRayne Brune & husband Dennis, of New Haven, Missouri; and Laura Placht & husband Ed, of New Haven, Missouri; a son, Steve Humphrey & wife Brenda, of Leslie, Missouri; two sisters, Linda Arrington, and Norma Vandenbergh, both of state of Washington; seven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Roy Humphrey and wife Joyce, she is also survived by sister in laws Marilyn and Jane Luechtefeld, Janet Abernathy and Arlene Humphrey.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Daniel Arrington, brothers-in-law, William and Harold Humphrey, Norbert & Donald Luechtefeld, Jerry Abernathy and sister-in-law, Janet Humphrey.
Graveside services will be held Monday, May 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's U.C.C. Cemetery, Casco.
