Marvin C. Walter, age 90, passed peacefully in his sleep May 9, 2025, on the second generation family farm near Pershing, Missouri. Following enlistment in the U.S. Air Force, where he was stationed in Alaska, he returned to the family farm where he and his beloved wife, Sandy, raised their family and worked side by side for 61 years.
Marvin enjoyed time with family, visiting friends, woodworking, fishing, hunting, and eating a good meal, always concluding with dessert.
Marvin was born in Redbird, Missouri, to Alfred and Meta (Krull) Walter. He is survived by his wife Sandy (Seifert); children Keith Walter (Angie) and Carla Walter-Clifton (David); granddaughters Kaylyn (Walter) Bush (Nathan) and Jessie Walter; great-grandson Lachlan Walter; and brother Norman Walter (Dolores). The family is thankful for extended family, neighboring friends, and the Gentiva Hospice Staff which enabled Marvin and Sandy to remain side by side.
Visitation will be Monday May 12th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, MO. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday May 13th at 10:30 am from St. James Church, Morrison, Mo with Rev. Dean Klossner officiating.
Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery, Morrison, Mo. The family request memorials to St. James Memorial Fund.
