Marvin Schroeder Obituary

Marvin E. Schroeder, 78, of New Haven, MO, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Harry S. Truman VA Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.

Marvin was born in Washington, Missouri on February 9, 1943, the son of the late Walter & Augusta (Farwig) Schroeder.

He was united in marriage to Judith "Judy" Schultz on June 15, 1968, in Caseyville, Illinois.

Marvin was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, New Haven American Legion, Washington V.F.W. Post 2661 and a 50 year member of Laborer Local 840.

Marvin worked as a laborer in commercial construction. He enjoyed going to the river, going to his grandchildren's activities, camping, fishing and just liked having a good time.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Judy Schroeder, of the home, a daughter, Mary Bonnarens & husband Randy, of New Haven, Missouri; a son, Kurt Schroeder & wife Pamela, of New Haven, Missouri; a daughter, Christa Kuhn & husband Cullen, of Webster Groves, Missouri; and seven grandchildren, Shane, Taurie, Colter, Dakota, Levi, Maiya and Lydia.

He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Harold Schroeder.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 13th from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the V.F.W., Washington, MO, where a memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be given to St. Peter's U.C.C. Cemetery, Washington or Harry S. Truman VA Hospital, Columbia. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
