Mark Grannemann Obituary

Mark Allen Grannemann, 66, of Jefferson City, MO, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City, Missouri. 

Mark was born in Washington, Missouri on May 13, 1955, the son of Robert "Bobby" Grannemann & Carol (Rector) Grannemann Collins.

He was united in marriage to Sherry K. Baldwin on September 4, 1983, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mark was a member of Central Church, Jefferson City, where he also served as a past board member.  He was also a member of the Eagles Club in Jefferson City. 

Mark started working for his father at Grannemann Radio & T.V. in Hermann, MO.  He later bought and sold that business.  He then went to work at Montgomery Ward in Jefferson City as a store manager.  In 2000 he went to work for the State of Missouri and ended his career as Facilities Operation Manager. 

Mark was very passionate about deer hunting at the family farm and restoring old cars.  He took a lot of pride in keeping his lawn and house looking meticulous.   He also enjoyed crappie fishing with his wife, tractor pulling with his son Derek, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mark is survived by his wife, Sherry Grannemann, of the home; his mother, Carol Collins & husband Lonnie, of Jonesburg, Missouri; a daughter, Courtney Kohne & husband Tim, of Fenton, Missouri; a son, Derek Grannemann & wife Nanci, of Jefferson City, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Rylee & Aiden Kohne, of Fenton, Missouri; and Olivia Grannemann, of Jefferson City, Missouri; three brothers, Corey Grannemann & wife Carol, of Indianapolis, Indiana; Chad Grannemann & wife Adriana, of Hermann, Missouri; and Clay Grannemann & significant other Shellea Hickman, of Jefferson City, Missouri; by his mother-in-law, Beverly Baldwin, of Jefferson City, Missouri; his father-in-law, Jack Baldwin & wife Alma, of Holts Summit, Missouri; by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brother & sisters-in-law, cousins and many friends.  He is preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 9th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. at Central Church, Jefferson City, MO, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Dr. Jason Abbott officiating.

Memorials may be given to the church or Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
