Marguerite Octavia Straub, 100, of New Haven, MO, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022, at New Haven Care Center, New Haven, Missouri.
Marguerite was born in Brookfield, Missouri on May 30, 1922, the daughter of the late Zepha & Grace (Mustain) Taylor.
She was united in marriage to Wayne Straub on June 4, 1939, at Carrollton, Missouri.
Marguerite was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, the Elks Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.
She worked as a bank teller and also at Langenberg Hat Factory for several years. In her free time she loved to read books, and do crafts at the New Haven Care Center and Senior Center.
Marguerite is survived by a son, Charles Straub & wife Kathy, of New Haven, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Donna McDonald & husband Danny, of Fenton, Missouri; Candi Langenberg & boyfriend Adam Duncan, of St. Charles, Missouri; Tracy Langenberg & girlfriend Lisa Light, of New Haven; and Amy Ruediger & husband Bryan, of New Haven, by nine great grandchildren, Tiffany, Casey, Elizabeth, Johnathan, Colton, Logan, Madison, Brenna and Avery and by many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Sandra Langenberg & her husband Howard, three sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 7th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, where a memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Dan Smith officiating.
Memorials may be given to New Haven Care Center.
