Mae Jean Diederich, 86, of New Haven, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Grandview Healthcare Center, Washington, Missouri
Mae Jean was born in Washington, Missouri on November 16, 1935, the daughter of the late Edward & Esther (Scheer) Sprick.
She was baptized on December 8, 1935 by Pastor Schmidt of Ebenezer Lutheran Church in her parents home. Her sponsors were her grandparents, Caroline Scheer and Sophia Sprick. She received the rite of Confirmation at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Washington on April 2, 1950, and also received her education at Immanuel Lutheran School. She remained a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
On October 8, 1960 she was married to Norman J. Diederich at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Washington. They made their home in New Haven, Missouri. Norman preceded her in death on June 22, 2015.
Mae Jean was employed by Deb Shoe Co. in Washington for 11 years, at Kellwood Company in New Haven for 24 years and she retired from The Childrens Factory in Union in 2000. She also had a cleaning service for many years servicing customers throughout the area.
Mae Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by one sister, Arline Schuetz, of Villa Ridge, Missouri; a nephew, Douglas Schuetz, of Villa Ridge, Missouri; three cousins, Helen Boal, of Washington, Missouri; Charles Sprick & wife LeeAnn, of Kingswood, Texas; and Dennis Sprick & wife Carol, of Kingswood, Texas, and many friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 8th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Washington, MO, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Mark Bangert officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Washington, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
