Louis V. Sieg

Louis V. Sieg, 98, of Montgomery City, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at his home.

Louis was born in Bonnots Mill, Missouri on July 15, 1927, the son of the late Charles E. & Annie (Mantle) Sieg.

He was united in marriage to Joyce Fay Greenwell on July 17, 1948, at St. Paul E & R Church, Hermann, Missouri.  Together they shared 76 years of marriage.  Joyce preceded him in death on November 17, 2024.

Louis proudly served in the United States Army during WWII.  He worked for Herzog Contracting Corporation in St. Joseph, Missouri for 21 years. 

He was affiliated with the United Church of Christ.  He was a member of the Hermann Masonic Lodge, the Montgomery City Lodge, Daggett Lodge, Zelma Lodge, Jonesburg Lodge, Scottish Rite and Moolah Shriners, both of St. Louis.   

Louis enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.

Louis is survived by a daughter, Karen Broeker & husband James, of Truxton, Missouri; a son, Michael Sieg & wife Kay, of St. Charles, Missouri; a daughter, Sherry Weiss & husband Kirk, of Defiance, Missouri; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Louis is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Annie Sieg, his wife, Joyce Sieg, six brothers and seven sisters.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Florence, where Masonic services will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed immediately by funeral services.
  
Burial will be at St. James Cemetery, Big Spring, Missouri.  Memorial donations may be given to Shriners Children's Hospital or St. James Cemetery.
