Lela Maude (Bollinger) Kolbe

Lela M. Kolbe was born July 22, 1920 in Bollinger County MO.  She passed away August 2, 2020 at Stonebridge, Hermann, MO.

Lela was one of 10 children born to John H. Bollinger and Mildred Kinder Bollinger.  On January 3, 1940 she married Walter J. Kolbe in St. Louis, Missouri.   He predeceased her February 15, 1979.

She is survived by two sons, Gerald (Jacquie) Kolbe of Hermann, MO and John (JoAnn) Kolbe of Rolla, MO, daughter Nancy Scheer Slocum of Chesterfield, MO, by nine grandchildren,  John Liberton of Indiana, David (Jane) Kolbe of Hermann, MO, Laura Baur of Jefferson City, MO, Julie (Byron) McMurphy of Warrensburg, MO, Jennie (Mick) Vogt of Jefferson City, MO, James (Laci) Kolbe of Rolla, MO, Jeff  (Jodi) Kolbe of Republic, MO, Amy (Joe Crall) Scheer of St. Louis, MO and Angela (David Berni) Scheer of St. Louis, MO, by 15 great grandchildren, by sisters, Rita Smith of Maryland and Virginia Crum of Colorado, and a brother, Jim Bollinger of Marble Hill, MO.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters, Mabel Bingner, Freda Penturf, and Shirley Schulenburg, her brothers, Milford, Dale and Bill Bollinger, and two sons-in-law, Glen Scheer, who passed away November 21, 1991 and Seth Slocum, who passed away June 4, 2014.

Lela enjoyed spending time with family, reading, working outdoors in her garden and yard, daily walks, and helping at her church.
