LeRoy E. Schulte, 92, of Hermann, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at StoneBridge Senior Living, Hermann, Missouri
LeRoy was born in Cooper Hill, Missouri on November 20, 1931, the son of the late Frank & Anna Mary (Grannert) Schulte.
He was the widower of Laverne Alvira (Eikermann) Schulte. They were united in marriage on June 19, 1954, at Stolpe, Missouri. They shared 66 years of marriage together until Laverne preceded him in death on September 23, 2020.
LeRoy proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Hermann United Methodist Church, Wentzville American Legion Post 323 and he served as a board member for the St. John's Cemetery, of Stolpe.
LeRoy was a salesman and worked for several companies over the years including, McDonnell Douglas Corporation, Caterpillar Inc., Cleveland Twist Drills, and Specialty Feed Inc.
LeRoy is survived by two daughters, LeeAnn (Gary) Bornhop, of Wentzville, Missouri; and Linda (Greg)Erspamer, of Edwardsville, Illinois; by five grandchildren, Jason Bornhop (Brian Head), Michelle (Jacob) May, Michael (Katie) Bornhop, Stephen (Megan) Erspamer, and Kevin (Nicole) Erspamer; by eight great grandchildren, Simon, Elizabeth, Gabriel, Aubrey, Hayden, Emma, Silas, and Diana; and a sister-in-law, Delores (Don) Kopp, of Jefferson City, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister, Mildred Langenhol & husband Carl, a brother, Arthur Schulte & wife Vera Mae, an infant sister, Laura Mae Marie Schulte and a brother-in-law, Armin Eikermann & wife Betty.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 5th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Hermann United Methodist Church, Hermann, Missouri, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Dawn Gerard officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann. Memorials may be given to Hermann United Methodist Church or St. John's Cemetery-Stolpe.
