Laverne Alvira Schulte, 88, of Hermann, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at StoneBridge Frene Valley Hermann.
Laverne was born in Hope, Missouri on May 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Herman & Martha (Hemeyer) Eikermann.
She was the wife of LeRoy E. Schulte. They were united in marriage on June 19, 1954, at Hermann, MO.
Laverne was a member of Hermann United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and canning and attending bible study. She was a homemaker and a beautician.
Laverne is survived by two daughters, LeeAnn Bornhop & husband Gary, of Wentzville, Missouri; and Linda Erspamer & husband Greg, of Edwardsville, Illinois; a sister, Delores Kopp & husband Don, of Jefferson City, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Betty Eikermann, of Gasconade, Missouri, five grandchildren, Jason Bornhop (Brian Head), Michelle (Jacob) May, Michael (Katie) Bornhop, Stephen Erspamer, Kevin (Nicole) Erspamer, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Armin Eikermann.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 1st from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann, where graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. John Hampton and Rev. Jacob May officiating. While attending please practice social distancing and the family is requesting masks to be worn.
