Kenneth "George" Elbert, 83, of St. Clair, MO, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Crabapple Village, Senior Estates, St. Clair, Missouri.
George was born in Washington, Missouri on April 22, 1938, the son of the late Urban J. & Elivira Mary (Nowak) Elbert.
He was the widower of Marjorie Ann (Pomie) Elbert. They were united in marriage on April 30, 1983, in Washington, Missouri. Marjorie preceded him in death on January 28, 2020.
George worked in St. Louis County as a union carpenter for over 30 years. He was a devote catholic. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals, hunting, fishing and boating on the Gasconade River.
George is survived by a son, Dale Elbert & wife Debbie, of Washington, Missouri; a son, Doug "Mac" Elbert, of Leslie, Missouri; a son, Mark Elbert & wife Dawn, of Greenfield, Missouri; a son, Gary "Tiger" Elbert & wife Donna, of Chesapeake, Virginia; a son, Steve Elbert & wife Melanie, of Boston, Virginia; two daughters, Sue Courtway & husband Carl, of Union, Missouri; and Emily Elbert, of St. Louis, Missouri; a son, Bryce Elbert, three step sons, Kevin Haug & wife Amy, of Washington, Missouri; Keenan Haug & wife Brita, of Juneau, Alaska; and Keir Haug & wife Geri Heberlie, of St. Louis, Missouri; three step daughters, Karin Haug, of Vicenza, Italy; Kecia McKinnis & husband Scott, of Washington, Missouri; and Korine Haug Krieftmeyer & husband Doug, of Washington, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Mary Francis Pomie, of Kansas City, Missouri; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Pershing Cemetery, Pershing, Missouri. Memorials may be given to the cemetery. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
