Kelly Bauer, 61, of New Haven, MO, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Kelly was born in Topeka, Kansas on September 5, 1962.
She was the wife of David Bauer. Kelly & Dave were united in marriage on August 24, 1985, in Kirksville, MO. To this union, two children were born, Erin & Emily.
Kelly was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, New Haven. She was an elementary school counselor for the School District of Washington until her retirement in 2014. Kelly was a positive influence in the lives of her students & colleagues.
Kelly is survived by her husband, David Bauer, & daughters, Erin Scheer & husband Allen, of New Haven, MO & Emily Guerrant & husband Timothy, of Stony Hill, MO. Kelly was the beloved Meemaw to grandchildren Logan, Lillian, & Olivia Scheer. Kelly had two siblings: Debra Hotujac (Mike) of Overland Park, KS & Mike Allen (Anita) of Brashear, MO. Other special people in Kelly’s life include mother figure, Barb Erwin of Brashear, MO; mother-in-law, Evelyn Bauer; sister-in-law Diane White (Dave); Aunt Theresa Bauer, Philip Erwin & Stacy Erwin. Kelly’s nieces are Marissa Crosser, Abby Williams, & Hannah White. Her nephews are Quin Allen & Michael Hotujac. Kelly was godmother to Cody Groner, Kimberly Stegemann, & Michael Hotujac. She was a grandmother figure to Matthew, David, & Rachel Otten & Lydia & Paige Zobrist.
Kelly was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Shipley) Allen; niece, Nicole Allen; father figure, Leroy Erwin; & father-in-law Theon Bauer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 8th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, concluding with the rosary at 7:45.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, New Haven, with Father John Deken officiating.
Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Assumption Catholic Church in New Haven.
