Julia Pauline (Wohlt) Workman

Julia Pauline Workman, 97 , of Hermann, MO, passed away Sunday, March 13th, 2022 at the Hermann Area District Hospital.

Julie was born in Glasgow, MO, on November 21, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert Wohlt and Teckla Berend-Schmidt.

Julie was the wife of the late Dr. George M. Workman. They were united in marriage on June 12, 1948 at the Hermann United Methodist Church.

Julie graduated from Hermann High School and went on to Missouri Baptist School of Nursing where she earned a degree as a Registered Nurse. She and Dr. Workman moved back to Hermann, MO in the early 1950’s where they stayed to raise their family and Dr. Workman continued his Father’s medical practice.

Julie was an avid fisherwoman, huntress, and expert turkey caller. She loved the outdoors. She loved to golf, cook, knit, garden, and play cards. Julie’s happiest place was at home taking care of her children. She was a cub scout den Mother and volunteered often for the red cross during blood drives.

Julie is survived by her daughter Barbara Wyland; son Dean Workman and friend Donna Austin; daughter Miranda Hartman and her husband Gary; daughter Jenifer Frink and her husband Sam; and daughter Sarah Worley and her husband Sam. Also surviving are her grandchildren Craig Hartman and his wife Laura; Chad Hartman and his wife Jill; Kirsten Parr and her husband Jason; Curtis Hartman and his wife Stephanie; Nathan Hartman and his wife Alana; Erin Adams and her husband Josh; Beth Epple and her husband Brian; Drew Workman and his wife Chelsea; and Haily Kolbe and her husband Josh.

She was also blessed with 24 great grandchildren, Madeline, Olivia, Will, Aislinn, Danielle, Kyra, Baylie, Savanah, Brennan, Marissa, Emmett, Augustus, Maggie, Charlie, Henry, Reed, Peter, Hattie, Georgia, Willa, Carter, Hanna, Avery, and Lottie.

She was preceded death by her parents, her husband, her brother Paul Wohlt and his wife Betty; brother Thomas Wohlt and his wife Iris; and sister Loretta Chadwick and her husband Bill.

Per Julie’s request, there will be no funeral services or memorials.
