Julia Ann (Jones) Rost

Julia Ann Rost, 61, of Morrison, MO, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 in Drake, Missouri. 

Julia was born in Columbia, Missouri on September 21, 1961, the daughter of John Alfred Jones & Carolyn Geraldine (Groeber) Murray.

She was united in marriage to Gary Lee Rost on November 29, 1990, in Jefferson City, Missouri. 

Julia was a member of First Baptist Church, Gasconade and the Hermann Eagles Auxiliary. 

She was a Certified Med Tech and worked at several nursing homes in the area, including, Green Meadows in Linn and Frene Valley in Hermann.  She was currently working as a waitress at Sharp Corner Tavern in Hermann.   In her free time she enjoyed fishing, camping and watching the St. Louis Cardinal games.

Julia is survived by her mother, Carolyn Murray, of Gasconade, Missouri; a son, Bruce Alan Wehmeyer II & wife Chasity, of Grandview, Missouri; two daughters, Alicia Wehmeyer; and Jennifer (Wehmeyer) Gibson & husband Chad, of Owensville, Missouri; a son, Andrew Wehmeyer & wife Brittany, of Bland, Missouri; two sisters, Laura McDaniel, of Columbia, Missouri; and Dorothy Cain, of Gasconade, Missouri; a brother, Thomas Murray, of Gasconade, Missouri; and 14 grandchildren, Audrey, Kaitlin, Courtney, Kylee, Airanna, Adalynn, Lilly, Bryce, William, Adien, Cameron, Preston, Hailey and Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Jones, her step father, Thomas Murray & her husband, Gary Rost.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 14th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, Morrison, Missouri. Memorials donations may be given to the funeral home to help cover expenses.
