Joseph "Joe" Cyrus Benjamin, III

Joseph Cyrus Benjamin, III, 33, of Hermann, MO, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at his home.

Joe was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 27, 1989, the son of Joseph Cyrus II & Dunya (Smith) Benjamin.

He was the husband of Jessica (Prophete) Benjamin.  They were married on May 13, 2022, at Columbia, Missouri. 

Joe worked for True-Manufacturing in Earth City as a shipping & receiving clerk.  He also worked for Amazon in St. Peters, Missouri. 

Joe is survived by his parents, Joseph & Dunya Benjamin, of St. Louis, Missouri; his wife, Jessica Benjamin, of Hermann, Missouri; three daughters, Mya & Aria Benjamin, both of St. Louis, Missouri; and Mia Prophete, of Hermann, Missouri; three sisters, Dunieka Bell & husband Eric, of Chesterfield, Missouri; Diamond Smith, of St. Louis, Missouri; and Deonna Bryant, of St. Louis, Missouri; his father & mother-in-law, Leonce & Loretha Prophete, of Hermann, Missouri, his grandmother, Carolyn Connor & husband Willie, of St. Louis, Missouri, and by other family & friends.
 
Joe enjoyed writing poems and stories, photography, walking the Katie Trail and Jazz music.  He loved Halloween & Christmas and shared his joy for those holidays with his children.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Billy Brison officiating. 

Memorials may be given to the funeral home to help cover expenses or Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer.
