John R. Bunge, 68, of New Haven, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri.
John was born in Washington, the son of the late Donald Bunge & Dolly (Meyer) Borcherding.
He was the husband of Pam (Oberg) Bunge. They were united in marriage in 1981, at St. James U.C.C., Stonyhill. Together they shared 43 years of marriage.
John worked as a machinist in Washington, Missouri and in Kerrville, Texas and was self employed in portable building sales for over 20 years in Kerrville,Texas. He was affiliated with St. James Evangelical Church, Stonyhill.
In his free time John enjoyed hunting, fishing and making wine. He was a shotgun shooting instructor at a local gun club in Texas. He did volunteer work for the NRA, Jaycees and many other organizations.
John is survived by his wife, Pam Bunge, of New Haven; a sister, Carla Georgie, of Washington, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Brenda McDonald & husband Daryl "Bud", of Berger, Missouri, a brother-in-law, James Bellamy, of New Haven; his mother-in-law, Mae Oberg, of New Haven; his step-father, Oron "Sonny" Borcherding, New Haven; a niece, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Debbie Bellamy, a brother-in-law, Blake Georgie, a father-in-law, Earl Oberg and a nephew, John Eye.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to the NRA or St. James Cemetery, Stonyhill.
