Joan M. Conner, 81, of Union, MO, formerly of New Haven, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri.

Joan was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 12, 1944, the daughter of the late Theodore Michael Herbert & Irene Mary (Lowes) Schwab.

She was the wife of Richard W. Conner, Sr.  They were united in marriage on February 13, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri.  Together they shared 63 years of marriage.

Joan was a homemaker and she also did the bookkeeping for her husband's business, R.W. Conner Trucking in New Haven.

Joan enjoyed antiques, quilting, and working on her yard.  Her yard and house were always neat.  She loved spending quality time with her grandkids and great grandkids and having Christmas at her house, spoiling everyone with gifts, throwing Halloween parties and having BBQ's and playing croquet in the back yard.  She also enjoyed going on mother-daughter trips with her mother and sisters to Amish country in Illinois and trips to the Lake of the Ozarks and also attending family picnics and family reunions.

Joan is survived by her husband, Richard Conner Sr., of New Haven; three sons, Richard Conner Jr. & wife Dawn, of New Haven, Missouri; Michael Conner & wife Glynis, of New Haven, Missouri; and Keith Conner & wife Melinda, of Washington, Missouri; a brother, Jerry Herbert, of St. Charles, Missouri; a sister, Irene Schaffer, of Union, Missouri; a sister, Gloria Huttiger, of Wentzville, Missouri; a brother, Mark Herbert, of St. Peters, Missouri;  a sister, Lora Bowman & husband Tom, of New Haven, Missouri; a sister, Carol Wolfe & husband John, of Mt. Sterling, Missouri; five grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Emilie Haid, Brian Conner, Amanda Klenke and Brandon Conner and 10 great grandchildren, Olivia, Emry, Tucker, Millie, Karlie, Caroline, Jackson, McKenzie, Emma and Evelyn.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Theodore "Ted" Herbert and one sister, Betty Goodman.
