Janet E. Mueller, 94, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June, 18, 2025 at StoneBridge Senior Living, Hermann.

Janet was born on June 21, 1930, in Hermann, Missouri. Janet was the daughter of Edwin Sr. & Mina (Lingenfelder) Mueller.

Janet attended the Frene Creek School until it closed in 1941 and then junior high school in Hermann.  She graduated from Hermann High School in 1948.

After graduating from high school, she went to work for the St. Louis Public Library for four years in the librarian’s office.  After working at the library, she went to work as a secretary and medical assistant in a specialist office in St. Louis for 17 years.  She later went to work for Blue Cross/Blue Shield as a secretary in the executive office for 19 years until her retirement.  After retirement she served as a volunteer contact for OATS Bus service in the Hermann area and Gasconade County.

Janet was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann.  In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, doing lawn work, quilting, sewing, and she loved feeding and watching her back yard birds.

She looked forward to vacations on the farm and helping her parents and brothers take care of the farm animals.  She was devoted to and lovingly thought of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.  She loved being with them and enjoyed going to their school activities and doing things for them in their younger lives as they grew up.  Having lived in St. Louis for so many years Janet was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, especially Adam Wainwright and Albert Pujols.  She also followed the other N.L. & A.L. baseball teams.

Janet is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Ella King, Corene Meier, Stella Cannon and Hazel Mueller, two brothers, Edwin & Orval Mueller, a nephew, Raymond Meier and two nieces, Elizabeth & Elaine Cannon.
